Hi, my name is Michaela - the owner and artist behind My Own Illustrator. Having studied art throughout school and university, I have always wanted to do something creative for a living, but didn't know what that would look like.
I then discovered the rising trend of Live Wedding & Event Illustration, and 'My Own Illustrator' was born!
Established in December 2024, My Own Illustrator is a creative illustration service, offering a range of different services including Live Wedding & Events Illustration, stationery, signage and bespoke commissions.
With Live Illustration, guests simply approach me for a photograph on your big day. They can then go off and enjoy the celebrations while I create their own bespoke illustration, capturing their unique personalities and fabulous outfits. They can then come back to my gallery later on to collect their masterpiece - a truly unique wedding favour that won't be left behind.
Live Illustration also doubles up as entertainment for your guests. They love to watch the process and their reactions to their portraits. Couples can also choose to receive detailed illustrations of the cake, value and happy couple after the wedding, to capture every element of the most special day of their lives.
Live illustration isn't just for weddings though - it can work for birthdays, engagements, baby showers, Christmas parties and corporate events.
With the aim of being your very own illustrator, I offer end-to-end wedding services, meaning that you can incorporate illustrations into your big day, from the 'Save the Date', up to the thank you cards sent to guests after the wedding. For example, venue illustrations to use on signage and stationery, illustrated place cards and table names, and commissioned wedding illustrations to give as gifts to the happy couple.
You can also order bespoke commissions for any occasion - from portraits, to pets and architecture.
